Welcome to a-mamal.dev
Experimental development space, sibling of a-mamal.com
Let's talk about this site
Why a-mamal.dev?
In case you didn't know, there's already a-mamal.com but it is meant to be a minimal overview of myself, more professional although still with personality. The scope, however, does not allow for many details and experiments. The idea of giving a-mamal.dev a different approach came to mind almost at the same time as the initial site was live.
Unlike a-mamal.com, I don't want a-mamal.dev to only show the finished result. I need it to be a place for experiments, thoughts, documentation, lessons with failures and successes, and generally a more personal space to be in.
Why is it deployed in its first stages?
I've been thinking of it almost since a-mamal.com was deployed, back when it was still in its first stages. There are a few reasons for that. Both sites were created under the concept of "learning in public", but we will see more about this in a different section.
I really needed a space, apart from the tools I already have to expand and show to the world more aspects of what I'm getting into. Yes, I do have my methods of note-taking, but they aren't doing much being just for myself, do they?
So, for this site, I thought I'd hurry up and just deploy it so I can document whatever needs to be documented, or whatever I simply want to document, from the beginning. I do keep documentation in README files; they live on my GitHub repositories for my projects, but I really wanted more than...something that happens as it happens.
